St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) recently hosted a seminar at the Divi Little Bay Beach Resort titled ‘Change Towards Quality and Safety’ which was organized by SMMC’s Quality and Safety Department and facilitated by a leading quality expert from the Netherlands, Dr. Everard van Kemenade.

In an effort to continually improve its safety procedures, St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) has embarked on a Hand Hygiene Quality project.

On November 23rd, 2015, the St. Maarten Medical Center will be expanding its facilities and opening the doors to its Care Complex.

SMMC opens its doors Saturday October 31st, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM

One year ago, with the most widespread Ebola epidemic in history, there was a ‘wake up moment’ for Hygiene and Infection Control in hospitals around the world. Health care practitioners stopped and took a look at the importance of hygiene and infection control.
