Our Pediatrics Clinic provides medical services for children and adolescents including neonatal care and pediatric cardiology. Patients receive evaluations and treatments for a range of conditions, including childhood illnesses, developmental concerns, and chronic health conditions, among others. The clinic is staffed by our Pediatricians who are trained to diagnose and treat childhood illnesses and conditions, and other medical professionals who provide support and care for patients. Patients and their parents/guardians can expect a personalized approach to their care, with the pediatric team working closely with them to determine the best course of treatment. We also offer automated otoacoustic emissions (AOAE or hearing) screenings for newborn babies in consultation with our Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Clinic. The goal of the clinic is to improve the health and well-being of children and adolescents and to provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care.

Dr. Martijn Tilanus is a general pediatrician who studied at the University of Utrecht School of Medicine. He has completed pediatric residencies at the Children’s Hospital in Bocholt, Germany, and at the former St. Elizabeth Hospital in Curacao as well as various hospitals in the Netherlands. Dr. Tilanus is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Life Support (NLS) and has been a Pediatrician at SMMC since 2013.
