Contract negotiations for the design, build and maintenance contract of the new General Hospital of Sint Maarten will commence this month with the nominated bidder, INSO.

Colorectal cancer is a cancerous growth throughout any part of the colon to the rectum. It has devastating complications; bleeding, obstruction of the colon, breaking down of the wall of the colon and spread to other organs especially the liver. In 72% of patients with colorectal cancer, there is liver metastasis.

Although there are certain similarities, Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis are two different diseases. Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish if rheumatoid arthritis is a separate disease or a symptom of Lupus. Both auto immune diseases are more common on St. Maarten than we think.
