Gynecology services at the St. Maarten Medical Center will increase with the addition of a new specialist, Dr. Stefano Cirillo, Obstetrician Gynecologist.
In May and June of this year, Dr. Cirillo worked as a rotating specialist at the SMMC. Having enjoyed the short term working experience he accepted a full time position to work at the hospital, beginning his service as of November 16th, 2015.
Dr. Cirillo was educated in his native country, Italy, where he earned his medical degree and specialization in gynecology laparoscopy surgery and ultrasound scan. He has worked in four continents before moving to St. Maarten from London.
Dr. Cirillo brings to our patient population 23 years of medical experience.

With the services of Dr. Cirillo, gynecology services will increase from two to three full time gynecologists. This closely meets the recommended number for continuity of care in gynecology and obstetrics services.
The continuity of medical care continues to be a priority for the hospital, one that is being achieved with qualified professionals to bring the best level pf patient care to our population.
