SMMC recently hosted update sessions for staff and neighbors in the immediate surroundings regarding the construction of St. Maarten General Hospital (SMGH).

In an effort to weather any possible storms, St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) has made arrangements for its COVID care facilities (the Mobile Medical Pavilion and the ICU tent) to be made more storm resilient.

SMMC will be restarting the construction of the new hospital - St. Maarten General Hospital - per today June 15th, 2020 after construction activities were temporarily paused due to the COVID-19 imposed lockdown and associated general restrictions prevailing on St. Maarten.
