Cayhill-The Nurses Association of St. Maarten opened the International Nurses week with a flag raising and official opening ceremony at the St. Maarten Medical Center on May 6th, 2013.
In the evening, a torch walk from the Raoul Illidge Sports complex to Taloula Mango's on the Boardwalk, raised the community awareness to Nurses Week.
In attendance at both events were Prime Minister Sarah Wescott-Williams and Minister of Health Cornelius DeWeever.
