St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) welcomes Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Nader Dayerizadeh, who will be leading the new Orthopedic Clinic at SMMC. This is yet another medical specialty now available on island reinforcing SMMC’s aim to provide ‘quality care, close to home’ for patients on St. Maarten and surrounding islands.
Dr. Dayerizadeh obtained his medical degree at the ‘Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam’ (a Medical University in The Netherlands) and later attended the University Hospital in Ghent (Belgium), where he received his degree in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology.
In his practice, Dr. Dayerizadeh performs a variety of Orthopedic procedures. His expertise includes an array of the latest surgical techniques and procedures to effectively treat acute and chronic Orthopedic injuries and conditions. He specializes in trauma surgery as well as in hip, shoulder and knee surgery. He also has experience in Pediatric treatments, fracture treatments and foot & ankle disorders. He is also involved in European medical research programs concerning hip and shoulder surgery.
Dr. Dayerizadeh stated: “My goal is to ensure that my patients receive the best level of care possible. This is achieved through developing personalized treatments where we can best address their issues. I look forward to the continued growth and development of the department and the services provided, including the introduction of a joint replacement program.”
The introduction of Orthopedic services at SMMC provides accessible care to its patients on St. Maarten and surrounding islands. Services encompass patient consultations, surgical and nonsurgical treatment options, education on preventative measures and rehabilitation treatments.
The Orthopedic Clinic is located within SMMC and patients who wish to make appointment can call: (+1721) 543-1111 ext. 1300 or 1310. Appointments can be made from Mondays-Fridays between 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. SZV patients are requested to obtain a referral letter from their family doctor before visiting the Orthopedic Clinic.
