In line with St. Maarten Medical Center’s (SMMC) continuing mission of providing ‘Quality Care, Close To Home’, a new medical specialty Ophthalmology (Eye Care) will be available at SMMC as per September 3rd 2018.

The St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) has signed an agreement to receive a USD 25 million grant from the St. Maarten Recovery, Reconstruction and Resilience Trust Fund that is funded by The Netherlands and managed by the World Bank.

St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) has recently completed the necessary roof repairs to bring its roof back to the original state as it was prior to Hurricane Irma.
