Your Profile: As a Pulmonary Function Technician, you are responsible for preparing, performing and processing pulmonary tests for patients with respiratory disorders to support the diagnosis and timely treatment of the patient. Requirements: • A Bachelor’s Degree in Cardiopulmonary Technology or equivalent; • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; • Knowledge and competency in the use of troubleshooting and maintenance of specialized technical pulmonary equipment; • Knowledge of infectious diseases and cross-contamination risks; • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills; • Ability to perform both independently and as part of a team; •A good level of comprehension of both the English and Dutch languages (written and verbal). The ability to speak or understand an additional language is considered a plus. Tasks: • Prepares for examinations and confirms patients’ medical history; • Performs pulmonary function tests such as body plethysmography, and spirometry, evaluate response to bronchodilators, exhaled breath testing (FENO), allergy tests, bronchoprovocation test, 6-minute walk test, and other pulmonary function exams; • Monitors the patient’s condition during the examination and responds adequately if complications arise; • Consistently drafts and reviews evidence-based protocols; • Keeps track of relevant developments and maintains and improves professional knowledge; • Assists with the care and maintenance of equipment used in examinations.
