Your Profile: 
We are seeking two dynamic and motivated individuals for the roles of ICU Nurse and Oncology Nurse.

As an ICU Nurse, you work closely with Medical Specialists. You are versed in evaluating intensive care patients, administering care, recognizing complications and coordinating with other members of the critical care team. 

As an Oncology Nurse, you assist with chemotherapy and other IV treatments in order for patients to receive an optimal level of care within the general guidelines and pre-determined service levels of the hospital.

Requirements Critical Care Nurse/ICU

• A Registered Nurse degree with specialization in ICU;
• One (1) year  work experience as an ICU, ER, Coronary care, Ambulance, Anesthesia or Operating Room Recovery Nurse;
• Knowledge of work processes on the ICU and specific knowledge of interpretation and treatment of abnormal ECGs, arrhythmias, blood gases and ventilator care is required;
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) diplomas are necessary for CPR.

Requirements Oncology Nurse

• A Registered Nurse degree and specialization in Oncology;
• One (1) year nursing work experience, minimum one (1) year on the Oncology ward;
• Basic Life Support (BLS) diploma is necessary for CPR.

SMMC has started the construction of the new St. Maarten General Hospital (SMGH) to expand its services to accommodate the increased care demand of the people of St. Maarten, its visitors and neighboring islands. The new hospital is planned to be operational in 2023.
