Your Profile
As an Asset Management Intern, you support our Contract Management Bureau (CMB) in developing an asset management system for mobile medical furniture and fittings as part of the SMGH move-in plan. Your tasks include inventorying and registering current assets and integrating this data into the transition plan. You will collaborate with procurement officers, the Facilities team, biomedical technicians, and the SMGH project team to collect and verify asset information. During the internship, you’ll also gain hands-on experience with medical equipment and furniture, data collection, asset registration, and transition planning, in addition to other assignments related to the hospital transition.

At SMMC, we offer you a 20-week internship position in an open, dynamic, and professional organization with the opportunity to:

  • Participate in an orientation program to learn about our organization and ongoing projects;
  • Receive professional guidance and support from the project team;
  • Gain hands-on experience with hospital operations and asset requirements, including consumables;
  • Participate in internal meetings related to the transition to the new facility and the procurement of new assets;
  • Apply your theoretical knowledge and gain experience through practical assignments;
  • Present a project you have developed during the program;
  • Build valuable insights through interactions with various stakeholders across the hospital and project team;
  • Internship allowance.

What You Offer

  • Enrollment in a Facility Management study (Bachelor’s or Master’s) or relevant;
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence in working with Microsoft Excel;
  • You are proactive, resourceful, and motivated, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic;
  • Confidence collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and working across different cultures;
  • Critical thinking skills coupled with strong numerical skills and the ability to communicate ideas clearly;
  • A fresh perspective and a willingness to learn, grow, and contribute.

Available periods: January - June 2026 June - January 2027
