Most men aren't sure what their prostate is, what it does, or when to call a doctor if they think they might have a problem. So, information is the best tool you have in dealing with this aspect of men’s health. In this article I have answered some of the FAQ’s relating to the health of your prostate.

On Wednesday, June 27th, the St. Maarten Medical Center received a visit from the State Secretary of the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports, Mr. Paul Blokhuis. Mr. Blokhuis and his team of representatives met with the Management Team and Medical Director of the SMMC.

The SMMC recently held PALS (Pediatric Advance Life Support) and PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization) courses for staff.

The St. Maarten Medical Center recently provided Basic Life Support training for the Royal Marines from the Netherlands. Nineteen Marines completed a one day course in Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
