Patient Information

By law, we can only give information to the parents of an admitted child or direct family members of an admitted patient unless indicated otherwise. You may send updates about you or your child’s progress to concerned friends and/or family via e-mail or have a designated family member/friend update others on your behalf. This can help minimize interruptions for you and your child.

Telephone Inquiries

To minimize numerous phone calls to the nursing staff, it is important that one family member serve as spokesperson. This person will make inquiries or discuss your health condition with the attending physician(s) or the nurse supervisor, preferably by appointment. All other family members should contact the spokesperson for updates. It is also important that the spokesperson’s contact information is available to the nursing staff, should he/she need to be contacted in case of an emergency.
